Overview
In honor of the City of Cibolo’s 60th anniversary, I was selected to design and paint a commemorative public mural celebrating the city’s history, growth, and community spirit. This project was envisioned as a vibrant, welcoming artwork that would spark pride among residents and enhance the cultural character of Cibolo’s downtown Main Street district.

Project Story
The Communications Manager for the City of Cibolo reached out after seeing my mural at ESX Art. She connected with the positivity, color, and approachability of the work, and felt that my style would be a strong fit for the city’s 60th anniversary celebration. The goal was to create a public art piece that reflected Cibolo’s spirit while bringing fresh energy to their downtown district.
Because the project had a short timeline, I focused heavily on clear communication and aligned expectations from start to finish. Working closely with the Communications Manager, I developed and presented three concept options, all text-based and designed using the city’s official brand guide. Their font, color palette, and visual identity became the foundation for a mural that felt unmistakably “Cibolo.”
Once the final artwork was selected, I completed the mural in four days leading up to the city’s annual Cibolofest event, where it served as a colorful centerpiece for the celebration. The completed 8ft x 16ft mural will remain on display in downtown Cibolo through September 2026, marking an important milestone for the community and adding a lasting touch of joy to Main Street.
